What I collect
Messages you send. If you use the contact form, I keep your name, email, any business details and your message so I can reply. They are stored securely with Convex, our database provider, on servers in Ireland, and are not used for marketing. I delete them when they are no longer needed, and within two years at most.
Events you submit. If you submit an event, I keep your name, email, phone number (if given) and role with the event details so I can check the listing with you. They are stored with Convex on servers in Ireland, and your contact details are never published. The event details, without your contact details, are checked by an AI model from Anthropic that flags missing information and drafts the listing text for me to review. I delete submissions within two years at most.
The Weekend List newsletter. If you sign up, I store your email address with Resend, our email provider, and only add you after you confirm by clicking the link we send. I use it to send the newsletter and nothing else. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list straight away.
Questions to Doodle. Your messages are sent to Anthropic, the AI model provider, to generate a reply. I do not save conversations or link them to you. Please do not include personal information.
Anonymous usage statistics. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and clicks without cookies and without identifying you. The site also keeps its own daily count of page views, visitors, and clicks on links to venues and to TicketHero: no cookie is set, nothing is stored on your device, and visitors are counted from a scrambled code that changes every day, so your IP address is never stored and one day's visits cannot be linked to another's.
Cookies
Google Analytics is only loaded if you choose Accept analytics in the cookie banner. It sets cookies to measure which pages are useful. Advertising features are switched off. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Links to other websites
Links to venues include tags so they can see the visit came from this site. Once you leave, the venue's own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how it is used. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
