Magic of Locomotion is a February half-term family event on The Watercress Line heritage railway, running from 10.30am to 4.30pm on selected days from 13 to 21 February 2027. Close-up magic is performed on board trains between Alresford and Alton, with magic shows at the Old Goods Shed in Alresford and activities for children. It suits families and anyone who enjoys steam railways.

Alresford Rotary has organised the town's bonfire and fireworks for more than 29 years. A torchlight procession follows the fire engine carrying an effigy of Guy Fawkes to Arlebury Park, and the money raised goes to local causes and people in need.
