Father Christmas Express is a festive steam train ride on the Watercress Line, running from his Hampshire Hideaway at Ropley Station to Medstead and back. Children receive a magic token to exchange for a present at Present Junction, and activities include a Miniature Railway ride, reindeer food making, letter writing and a festive photo. It suits families and young children, and advance booking is recommended.

Alresford Rotary has organised the town's bonfire and fireworks for more than 29 years. A torchlight procession follows the fire engine carrying an effigy of Guy Fawkes to Arlebury Park, and the money raised goes to local causes and people in need.
